Kaylin Maxwell, O.D., M.S.
OD, MS — Ocular Disease, Cornea & Contact Lenses

Dr. Kaylin Maxwell provides comprehensive eye care with advanced residency training in ocular disease, cornea, and specialty contact lenses.
A native of Schellsburg, Pennsylvania, Dr. Maxwell earned her Bachelor of Science in biochemistry summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. She went on to The Ohio State University College of Optometry, where she completed both her Doctor of Optometry — again summa cum laude — and a Master of Vision Science. Her master’s thesis examined how the low-dose atropine eye drops used in myopia management affect the accommodative system and ciliary muscle, research she went on to publish in Optometry and Vision Science. She then completed an ocular disease, cornea, and contact lens residency at Columbus Ophthalmology Associates.
Throughout optometry school she was an active member of SVOSH (Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity), providing eye care to underserved communities both close to home and abroad, including a service trip to Lima, Peru.
Dr. Maxwell lives in Columbus with her husband, Ty, their two boxers, Kyra and Ares, and their cat, Kenai. In her free time she enjoys reading — preferably outside when the weather allows — crocheting, and spending time with friends and family.
