Ashley N. San Filippo, M.D.
MD — Board-Certified Ophthalmologist
Dr. Ashley San Filippo is a board-certified glaucoma specialist and comprehensive ophthalmologist with a special interest in minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) and advanced-technology cataract surgery.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Integrated Life Sciences from Kent State University and her medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Medical University (NEOMED). She completed a medical internship at the State University of New York at Buffalo and her ophthalmology residency at the University of Missouri–Kansas City, then returned to Ohio for a glaucoma fellowship at The Ohio State University.
During residency and fellowship she contributed to numerous ophthalmology publications and presentations, and she continues to speak regularly at local and state ophthalmology, optometry, and ophthalmic-technician meetings. She remains actively involved in the education of medical students and residents as a Clinical Assistant Professor at both The Ohio State University and Ohio University.
Outside the office, Dr. San Filippo is an avid runner, a fashion lover, and a devoted Ohio State fan.
